OhioMOD is The Ohio State University's Biomolecular Design Team.  We compete annually in the BIOMOD competition at Harvard University.  

BIOMOD: a competition to engineer “biological macromolecules into complex nanoscale machines for scientific and technological purposes”.  For more competition information visit:

  • Teams form in early spring to design, build, and analyze a biomolecular system.
  • Competition held annually at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University in early November.
  • Teams consist of undergraduate students studying engineering or other science related majors.  No previous experience is required.
